The Wind Orchestra Lipa Tuhelj was founded in 1927 at the initiative of a few people. One winter evening, the idea of ​​establishing an orchestra was born at the inn “Pod lipom”, and the following year, on the holiday of Corpus Christi, the first public appearance happened. Over the years, the orchestra has had its ups and downs, but today it has about 50 members and, in recent years, the following successes:

2015 − 2nd place in the C category of the concert programme with the Best Conductor Award/Mitteleuropa Blasmusikfest International Competition in Split

2016 − 2nd place in the B category of concert programme/30th Meeting of the Croatian Wind Orchestras in Novi Vinodolski

2018 − Gold plaque with commendation and 2nd place in the B category of concert programme/32nd Meeting of the Croatian Wind Orchestras in Novi Vinodolski

2019 − Golden plaque with commendation and 2nd place in the A category of concert programme with the Golden plaque/33rd Meeting of the Croatian Wind Orchestras in Novi Vinodolski

In recent years, the orchestra has been led by Professor Ivan Kšenek.
